Thomas H. Fitzgerald, Jr.


Thomas H. Fitzgerald, Jr. is President and - - beginning in 1982 - - Chief Portfolio Investment Officer of the firm that bears his father’s name.  The firm was founded in New York in 1959.   Mr. Fitzgerald was a founding principal and the first editor of The Money Market Directory, the world’s foremost reference authority on U.S. institutional investors and their portfolio managers. He is a member of the American Finance Association, the President’s Council of the American Institute of Management, and the Market Technicians Association.

Mr. Fitzgerald entered the investment business as special assistant to the late Gerald M. Loeb, then a partner of E.F. Hutton & Company, New York, and author of the all-time classic, The Battle For Investment Survival.  He later worked as consultant to David Dreman, world-renown investment manager and author of the best-sellers, Contrarian Investment Strategy, and Psychology and The Stock Market.  Mr. Fitzgerald received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Connecticut, and has completed studies in International Banking and Foreign Exchange at New York University Graduate School of Business Administration.  He served two years in the United States Army as a paratroop-lieutenant.

Thomas M. Rianhard, IV

Thomas M. Rianhard, IV is an Assistant Portfolio Manager and Equity Analyst for T.H. Fitzgerald & Co, with 10 years experience in equity research and investment management. He joined the firm in 1995, and has been responsible for the creation of proprietary fundamental research, streamlining the research process, and tracking portfolio performance. He has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Finance from Post University in Waterbury, Connecticut.

Kathleen S. Doback

Kathleen S. Doback is Chief Operating/Compliance Officer. She began her career in the field of investment management over 10 years ago as the Office Manager for T.H. Fitzgerald & Co. Currently, she is responsible for the administrative operations of the firm. She is also the Compliance Officer and as such is responsible for all SEC filings. Kathleen graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors in Communications from Southern Connecticut State University.

Sheila F. DeJesus

Sheila F. DeJesus is Director of Research. She joined T.H. Fitzgerald & Co. in 1991. Currently, she has key responsibility for compiling and organizing the weekly research data reports. She has a Bachelors of Science degree from Central Connecticut State University.
